Rooney’s Butchers is a traditional, family-run butcher established in 1961. Sean Rooney has a purpose-built abattoir in Co. Leitrim. His top priority is making sure customers leave with the highest standard of meat products and the best possible service.

All Sean Rooney’s meat comes from his own abattoir, this allows him to deliver a top-quality product with complete traceability. He processes cattle, lambs and pigs for the commercial, wholesaler and farmer’s own freezer. At Rooney’s, they dry-age all their beef on the bone, using slow traditional methods to produce meat of unsurpassed excellence and taste. They make their own pork and pork & leek sausage which is a popular hit with all their customers.
